Sapa Sapa - handmade soap for charity
For Charity
All net proceeds are donated to AFESIP Cambodia to help victims of human trafficking and sex slavery.*

Sapa Sapa is a small personal project for me to pursue a hobby and make a difference at the same time – 100% All-Natural Handmade Soap for Children Around the World.

In 2007, I started with the idea to donate whatever money I made to UNICEF, to help children around the world be "normal" kids.

Now, in 2008, I want to help victims of human trafficking and sex slavery. I was inspired by Somaly Mam's book The Road of Lost Innocence. She was sold into sex slavery as a child, and now works to rescue others. I was shocked to learn about that world, and moved by her courageous activism to rescue and rehabilitate new victims. I decided to donate whatevery money I made to AFESIP Cambodia.

I have wanted to do something for children in need ever since I traveled around the world in 1999. Still now I remember the shock of seeing street kids for the first time – small small kids with ragged clothes and bare feet who tried very hard to get food and money. They slept in the street with hunger and sadness, even though they were still at the age when they need love from parents. Some were beggars, some were sick with AIDS, some were prostitutes. I met many of these kids, but I couldn't do anything for them. Still now, when I hear any news about kids who are suffering because of war or poverty, I want to do something for them.

It is a small drop in the ocean, but this website is my project to help kids who have been hurt in their heart and body.

Sapa Sapa can help you, the earth, and children around the world. First, our soaps make you feel healthy by gently cleaning your skin. Second, our soaps help reduce environmental pollution because they contain no artificial additives. And, finally, all net proceeds from our soaps are donated to AFESIP Cambodia. If you are interested in any of these things, please try our soap.

I wish some day all the kids around the world can smile.

About Our Soap
Our soap is hand crafted using cold process recipes, which is a long process stretching over a four-week period.

Our soap is made with only vegetable oil, containing no animal fats (except beeswax).

Our soap contains 10 to 15 percent less lye (sodium hydroxide) than what is required for complete saponification. This means that some fats and oils are left in the soap, for a smooth, silky, clean sensation.
